‘We love our Butter’ April 16, 2025

On Aug. 3 2023, a very kind foster mom posted in the Cat Parents of Omaha Facebook group that she had three kittens ready to adopt: Peanut, Butter and Jelly.

Butter was the black and white tuxedo cat making a cute yet pathetic face in her post. I instantly knew I wanted to add Butter to our home as a friend to our two-year-old cat, Lucy. After contacting the foster mom, we were able to bring Butter home the same day that the foster mom dropped her off at the NHS for her final checkup.

After a couple weeks of getting to know each other, Butter and Lucy became best friends! We decided to keep her silly name, Butter, because it fit her personality so well. We love our Butter. Thanks NHS for all you do!
