“I might hold the record for the longest an employee has waited to adopt an animal, since it took almost six years before my husband and I adopted our cats, Frank and Napoleon, back in 2014. They came in as a litter of three without a mom and spent a few months with an amazing foster mom before joining our family.
Frank and Napoleon’s unique personalities fill our household with so much joy. Frank loves chirping at the birds and snuggling on my husband’s lap while he works from home. Napoleon is the resident troublemaker, always looking for ways to start a playful fight and score extra treats. And let’s not forget their creative decorating skills, as our carpet sometimes showcases the occasional hairball!
Their journey would have been different without the foster care program at NHS. That’s why the Kitten Shower is so essential! It provides vital resources to foster parents, allowing them to care for animals in need until they can find their forever homes.
