‘Sweetest Boy in the World’ April 23, 2025

“It was the year 2021. My boyfriend, CJ, and I had gotten back from my brother’s wedding. When we got back, we decided that we wanted to get a doggo.

So, on Aug. 4th, 2021, we went to the Nebraska Humane Society. We actually were going to look at a dog named Crunchy, I believe. Crunchy was adopted, so the nice lady actually showed us our second pick.

He was a little crazy and didn’t really like my boyfriend, but after everything she decided to show us one more dog that she thought she might like.

Then came this short but adorable little boxer/lab mixed with the name “Breakfast Runza with Hashbrowns.” When she told us that name we were like “What?!”, but then he was the sweetest boy in the world!🥺

We fell in love with (what we changed his name to) Apollo. The lady matched me with the best son in the world. Apollo enjoys tennis balls, peanut butter and big chains. I thank the Nebraska Humane Society everyday for giving me my doggy soulmate. ❤️”
