Sueky grins ear-to-ear in her loving home March 19, 2025

Our family has adopted several times from the Nebraska Humane Society. Our most recent adoptee was a dog named Sueky.

When we came in, she laid on a cot and barely lifted her head to look at us. When we had our first meet, she rested her chin in my hand then walked to the door for staff to take her out, almost as if she expected rejection. Sueky now races around our yard chasing frisbees, tries unsuccessfully to be a 60-pound lap dog, and goes to bed each night snuggling a stuffed pink pig of her choosing. My favorite picture of her is our first day home with her grinning ear to ear.
