‘So happy to provide them a safe home’ April 30, 2025
“I had just rehomed my rescue dog, Regis, to my son’s family in Arizona as he was too much for me. I went to the shelter looking for a cat and found a sweet 3-legged cat. This was 2004, and he was about 6 months old.
I knew he would probably be hard to place, and I had experience with a 3-legged dog, so he came home with me. The following year we moved to a different home and I added a farm kitten in 2007. I have so many wonderful pictures of these two boys playing and sleeping together. I was so happy to provide them a safe home.
Trip passed away from old age just over a year ago just short of his 20th birthday. Dexter followed him six weeks later of grief at the age of 16. In the years I had them, they never had a sick day and gave me so much love!
Four weeks later, I adopted Max (shelter name was Buddy) and he has been an absolute joy! He is about six years old and so full of fun and energy!”
