Birthday Parties at NHS

If you're looking for a unique way to celebrate a birthday, look no further than the Nebraska Humane Society!

Note: Due to Camp Kindness, NHS is unable to offer birthday parties in June or July. 

Details:

• We offer three different package options:
  • Paw-some Package ($275): 15 children, 5 adults
  • Purr-ific Package ($350): 25 children, 10 adults
  • Fluff-tacular Package ($400): 40 children, 20 adults
• Our parties are best for kids ages 6 and older
• Parties take place in the Center for Humane Education at 8929 Fort Street in Omaha.
• "Be Kind to Animals" children's shirts can also be purchased ahead of time for $15 each. Adult sizes can be ordered for $2 more.
• The hosting family may arrive up to 30 minutes early.
• Parties can be Monday to Friday, along with available Saturdays.

Each Party Package Includes:

• Classroom rental (bathrooms available)
• Fridge/Freezer space
• Music
• Photo station with props (with customizable background color)
• Party favors for each child
• 2-3 animal meet and greets
• Birthday kid gets to name a shelter pet!
• "Happy Birthday" banner
• Themed activities

Optional Free Add-Ons

• Staff-led group games
• Handing out treats to shelter dogs
• Reading to shelter pets

Family is Responsible For:

• Plates, napkins, utensils, etc.
• Food
• Decor
• Cake knife

A few other notes:

• No sparkling or unfurling birthday candles; only regular candles are allowed.
• No poppers or confetti.
• Family must clean up before they leave.
• Birthday parties are not available in June or July due to Camp Kindness, but that's a party in itself!
