‘Perfect furst child in our home’ May 27, 2025

Porter, formally known as Buster, joined our family in December 2021.

At the time, we were not looking to adopt a dog, especially not a puppy. Just like so many others, we were in the right place at the right time!

Porter had recently been brought back to the NHS after being in a foster home and was finally old enough to be adopted out. Since he has joined our military family, he has been along for every hike, swim, and car ride, and he has seen 14 states as my husband and I have traveled the US. He was there for our wedding and the day we bought our house. He has been the perfect furst child in our home and we are lucky that he will be there as our family grows.”
