‘I couldn’t leave NHS without her’ June 23, 2025

“I adopted Suki in January 2016. Suki was eight years old and had actually been born at NHS years prior. She was having difficulties being adopted out, but I could never understand why.

She was immediately cuddly in the introduction room, and I couldn’t leave NHS without her. I got to have eight amazing years with Suki. She helped me meet my wife, moved with me, and was always a loving. Suki passed in September of 2024, but I am beyond grateful for the years I had with her and for the Nebraska Humane Society.”
