How Zoe_The_Puggler was born April 18, 2025
“On Feb. 7, 2014, I was adopted by a chubby little 7-year-old puggle, a stray that NHS named “Bananas.”
Once at home, she became Zoe, and we became best pals. Our adventures eventually were chronicled on her Instagram account (she demanded her own because she was by far much more interesting than me), and Zoe_the_Puggler was born.
When she died in July 2022, I was so completely heartbroken. It is a difficult choice adopting an older dog because you know you will have less time with them, but I can honestly say that Zoe and I packed a whole human lifetime of fun and adventure into the eight years we had together.
In May of 2023, I started volunteering as a dog walker and ambassador at NHS to honor Zoe and work to connect people to their version of a “Bananas turned Zoe” rescue dog.
I can’t thank NHS enough for providing space for all of the amazing doggos who need a second (or third) chance at finding their forever home.”
