‘Coco came into the room with her tail wagging’ April 29, 2025

“We were looking for a dog in fall of 2020, as many people were, during the pandemic. We made an appointment to visit a dog and were sitting in the meeting room.

We had no idea what the meeting was going to be like and were kind of nervous! The woman helping us went to go get the dog we had signed up to see. We waited there for probably about 10-15 minutes until she came back with a completely different dog!

She said she remembered this dog on her way to get the other one and said she knew it would be a better fit. She was right! The sweet little white and cow spot dog named Coco came into the room with her tail wagging frantically. She immediately came to me for pets and was so excited that she peed on my foot. It was then that I knew she was coming home with us. Thank you, Nebraska Humane Society for helping us find our sweet Coco!”
